I've been digging into Maude Goodale's case and something that's been puzzling me is the lack of media coverage at the time. It's been over 50 years, and I'm wondering if her case would have gotten more attention today with social media and all the resources we have now. It feels like there might have been opportunities for leads back then that just slipped through the cracks because people simply didn’t hear about her disappearance. Did anyone else find it odd how quickly her story seemed to vanish from the headlines, if it was even reported at all? I know it's difficult with cases from the past, but I can't help but feel that a bit more exposure might have changed things back then. Anyone have thoughts or know of any similar cases that somehow resurfaced because of renewed interest or new technology?
It's curious how little media attention Maude Goodale's case received back in 1969. I mean, you would've thought that a woman disappearing without a trace would be big news, right? Especially in a place like Bayshore. I've been diving into old archives and there’s almost no coverage. It makes me wonder if that lack of attention impacted the resources dedicated to finding her. Also, considering she was residing at Anderson Adult Home, do you guys think that might have played a part in the limited public interest? Maybe assumptions were made because she lived there? It’s frustrating to think how much could’ve been different if the case had just gotten more exposure. Anyone else have thoughts or info on similar cases from that era with minimal media coverage?
