Hey everyone, I’ve been doing a deep dive into the old missing persons cases from El Paso, and Edward Marquez's story really caught my attention. One angle I haven’t seen anyone discuss much is the community’s role back then in searching for him. Was there any significant local effort at the time of his disappearance? I know today we have social media and other modern tools, but in 1990, I imagine it was way different. Did local groups or organizations get involved in trying to find him? It seems like any information, even from small-scale community efforts, could be crucial in reevaluating what happened. Also, if anyone has ideas on how communities handled missing persons back then or knows someone who was involved, it would be great to hear those stories!
