I’ve been following the tragic events surrounding Carl Williams III, and one thing that stands out to me is the location of the incident. The Saenger Theatre is a place where joy and creativity are supposed to thrive, especially during a children's dance recital. I can't even imagine the terror those families experienced as shots were suddenly fired—turning a night that should have been full of proud smiles and cheers into one of unimaginable fear and confusion.
It’s terrible to think of the trauma that both the children and their families must be grappling with now. Not only have they lost a cherished member of their community, but they also witnessed an event that no child should ever have to see.
