I’ve been reading through old cases and Ann "Bea" Fulton’s disappearance has been haunting me. Something that never sat right with me is why her husband waited nearly six weeks to report her missing. I understand it was a different time and maybe missing persons systems weren't as robust, but six weeks is a long time. Was there ever any explanation provided for that delay? I wonder if the absence of media coverage could have been partly because of this lag. Also, does anyone know much about the relationship dynamics at play during that period? I'm curious if anyone has insights or theories on why her case didn’t gain the attention we see in many other cases. It's frustrating knowing she never got the proper spotlight her situation deserved.
Did anyone else find it suspicious that Ann's husband waited almost six weeks to report her missing? I understand it was a different time back in 1971, but six weeks seems awfully long for a spouse not to raise an alarm. Could there have been something going on in their personal life that contributed to this delay? It just seems completely off to me, especially since the initial days are usually so crucial in missing persons cases. I wonder if the investigators at the time looked deeply into his reasons or if it got brushed under the rug because of the era’s limitations. With so little information available, it's frustrating how many questions are still unanswered. Does anyone here have experience with similar cold cases? How common was it for a spouse to take so long to report back then?
