I recently started looking into the case of Mark Steven Scott and was struck by something incredibly chilling that came up. I read somewhere that after his disappearance, the family received a postcard claiming to be from him, saying he’d found work in Austin. It got me thinking about the motives behind such a cruel act. Why would someone go to the trouble of sending this postcard? Is it possible that they wanted to delay the search or throw off the investigation? Or was it just another twisted game from these cold-hearted criminals? The emotional rollercoaster that poor family must have gone through is unimaginable. Anyone else have thoughts on this? I'd love to hear any theories about the reasons behind the postcard, especially since it stands out as such a cruel aspect of this already devastating case.
