Does anyone else find it strange how the stolen vehicle found near Theron Campbell’s house seems overlooked? Given the location of his home on U.S. Highway 10 and the isolated nature of that area back in 1972, it’s odd that more connection hasn’t been made between the car and his disappearance, at least publicly. I can’t help but wonder if the stripped car was a diversion tactic or just a coincidence. It could have belonged to someone passing through, or it might have been intentionally abandoned there as a part of some larger plan. Since it seems unlikely someone could just vanish without at least leaving a trace, maybe taking a closer look at auto thefts in Minnesota from that era might shed light. What do you guys think? Could there have been an organized element that targeted his area for some reason? Any local history buffs might have more insight on car theft patterns or gang activity during that time around St. Cloud.
