Hi everyone, I've been following Beatris Batina Burton's case for a while, and my thoughts are with her family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. What really baffles me is the fact that this happened in a busy neighborhood in West Oakland, yet it seems like there were no solid leads or witnesses who came forward. The 3000 block of Union Street isn’t exactly secluded, so it’s hard to believe that nobody saw anything that night. Is it possible that fear is keeping people from speaking up? Or maybe some residents moved away since 2011, possibly taking key information with them. I can't begin to imagine how tough it must be for those who knew her, not having closure all these years later. I really hope that someone, someday, will feel safe enough to step forward with crucial details. Every small piece of info could make a huge difference. Hoping for some justice for Beatris and peace for her loved ones. Stay safe, everyone.
