I've been following the tragic events in Anaconda and wanted to share some thoughts about the community's response. The outpouring of support for the victims' families, including Tony Wayne Palm’s, has been truly moving. It's clear that the people of Anaconda are incredibly tight-knit, rallying around each other in times of crisis like this. Seeing local businesses coming together to fundraise and support memorial services highlights the town's resilience and compassion. It's stories like these that remind us of the deeper connections we often take for granted, and how important it is to be there for one another, especially when faced with unthinkable loss. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy.
I’ve been following the Anaconda shooting case and can’t stop thinking about Tony Wayne Palm. At 74, it’s devastating to think of someone spending decades building a life, only to have it end so senselessly. Tony was at The Owl Bar, seemingly just enjoying his day. I read he was a regular there, and it's said that the bar was a community gathering spot. To think of how his presence might be missed by those who knew him - neighbors, friends, the bar staff... it's so painful.
I can't wrap my head around the fact that the shooter lived right next door to the bar. It makes you wonder if there were any interactions between them prior to that tragic day. It’s really unsettling, especially knowing that the shooter struggled with mental health issues. Reading about this incident hit hard; it’s a grim reminder of how important it is for communities and authorities to find ways to support those struggling with mental illness more effectively. My heart goes out to Tony’s family and all others involved in this tragedy.
