I'm curious if anyone has looked into the yelling that a neighbor heard on the night Jane Ellen Wakefield disappeared. It seems like such a crucial piece of the puzzle! From what I've read, the noise was never really investigated, but could it have been Jane calling for help? If it was, it might point to something happening in or around her mobile home that night. I wonder if anyone has info on whether the police followed up on this lead back then or if it just got overlooked. It seems like such a small detail, but maybe it's connected somehow. Maybe a re-investigation of witness testimonies could shed some light? Just trying to piece the little I know together. Thoughts?

Does anyone else find it odd that no one investigated those screams that a neighbor heard on the night Jane went missing? I know it's easy to say in hindsight, but if someone heard yelling and checked it out, maybe this case could have turned out differently. It's the kind of detail that makes you wonder how often crucial moments get overlooked. I've read theories about it being a domestic issue, considering her divorce, but those screams could have been a major clue about what really happened that night. It's frustrating when small details like this go unexplored. Anyone have thoughts on why there wasn't more follow-up on this?

I was reading about Jane Ellen Wakefield's disappearance and was struck by the detail about her bike being locked to the yard lamp. It makes me wonder if she had planned to go out again that evening or if she was expecting company. Locking your bike seems like something you'd do if you planned on using it again soon or if you simply came home out of habit, intending to leave it safe. It's sad to think that such a small, mundane action might have been one of the last things she did before vanishing. Her case has so many unsettling angles, but this particular detail gives me pause when considering just how normal that day might have felt to her up until the point she disappeared. I hope they find more evidence to help solve this mystery someday.
