I’ve been reading a lot about the tragic events of March 15, 1992, and something that keeps drawing my attention is the senselessness of the act. Tekleberhan Manna’s murder, along with the subsequent victims, really highlights the randomness of the violence that day. Given that nothing was stolen from the store, it’s perplexing to think about what was going through Rogovich's mind. I can’t even begin to imagine the fear and shock Tekleberhan must have experienced in those last moments. It’s just so difficult to understand how someone could commit such brutal acts without any apparent reason. My thoughts are with all the families impacted and I truly hope they’ve found some way to cope with such an unthinkable loss. It’s a stark reminder of how fragile life is and how deeply unpredictable people can be.
