Does anyone else feel deep empathy for the restaurant patrons who witnessed this tragedy unfold? I can’t imagine the trauma they had to live through, seeing such a horrific event transpire right before their eyes. For those present at Lee's Cathay Terrace that evening, it must have felt like a wholly unreal nightmare. The loss of life was already devastating, but being in such close proximity would leave a lasting impact on anyone. How do survivors and witnesses cope with the emotional aftermath of such violence? It's a part of the story we often overlook, yet it's so important for the healing process of everyone involved. Wishing peace and strength to all who were there that night and to the families of those who were lost.
