I've been thinking a lot about workplace safety in light of the horrible tragedy at 345 Park Avenue. It’s chilling to think that people just going about their everyday lives could face such unimaginable violence. My heart goes out to Julia Hyman’s family and colleagues—it's clear she was incredibly cherished by those who were lucky enough to know her. From everything I've read, Julia seemed like she was truly thriving in her career and family connections. With such a vibrant life cut short, I can’t help but wonder about the steps businesses and communities can take to prevent these situations. Are there more effective strategies we aren't considering to protect people in their work environments? It feels like these discussions often fade away until the next tragedy occurs. Maybe we should keep pushing for tangible changes to create safer spaces for everyone. Thoughts? Sending love and strength to everyone affected by this heart-wrenching event.
