Has anyone else been struck by the tattoos Casey Jo had, especially the one that read 'Seminole'? It's incredibly touching to me that despite all the chaos in her young life, she carried a piece of her heritage with her in such a permanent way. It’s these little details that humanize victims, making it even more devastating that her life was cut so short. I can’t imagine the pain her family feels knowing she had to endure such horrors far from home. Tattoos tell a story, and for Casey Jo, it seems like it was a connection to her roots, maybe even her way of finding strength and identity in a world that treated her so cruelly. Does anyone else have thoughts on symbolism like this and its role in remembering victims?
