It's unimaginable to think about the trauma Cheryl's son must have endured growing up, knowing what happened just a room away while he slept as a toddler. Even though he was so young, living with the knowledge of such a brutal crime involving your parent must have left an indelible mark. I can't help but feel for him and hope he found some semblance of peace and support as he grew older. No child, especially one so young, should ever have to face such a harsh reality. It makes you wonder if he’s ever spoken publicly about his experience or shared any thoughts on the eventual capture and conviction of his mother’s killer. Whatever the case, I hope he found a way to heal and surrounded himself with people who cared for him deeply.
