I've been following Shiraleen Crawford's case for a while, and it's so frustrating how long it took for an arrest to be made. It's such a tragedy that her life was cut short and even more distressing when you consider the lack of attention her case received initially. I think what has stayed with me most is the impact it must've had on her two sons. They were just kids when they lost their mother in such a brutal manner. It's a harsh reminder of how the most vulnerable in our society can sometimes feel invisible, both in life and in death. While I’m relieved that Robert White was finally held accountable, I can't help but wonder if there were missed opportunities earlier on that could have saved others from falling victim to him. It seems imperative to hear these stories and make sure that every victim receives the acknowledgment and justice they deserve. My heart goes out to Shiraleen's family and the community that knew her.
