I’ve been thinking about the initial investigation into the murders of Bonita Edwards and her daughters, and it’s tragic how the focus seemed to veer off in the wrong direction initially. It’s clear now that some details, like the wrong date, might have derailed efforts early on. It makes me wonder how many other cases might face similar issues because of simple errors or assumptions. I truly feel for the Edwards family during those years they spent without answers. Solving the case after six years must have been such a conflicting moment of grief and closure for them. Anyone else think that more attention should be given to how initial missteps in investigations can have long-lasting effects on cases?
