Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the role the cold case unit played in bringing justice to Minnie Sutton and the other victims of the “East End Killer.” Imagine the relief Minnie's loved ones must have felt when they finally got answers after so many years. It’s intriguing (and a bit chilling) to think about how one piece of evidence, like the cigarette butt with DNA, can eventually unravel a horrifying mystery. I wonder how many other unsolved cases could be cracked open with advancements in forensic science that we have today. It’s a solemn reminder of the importance of preserving evidence, even when a case has gone cold for years. I hope this gives some hope to families still waiting for their own answers.
