Did anyone else come across any possible sightings of Gus between El Cajon and San Diego back in '77? It's strange because someone mentioned in a local group that they saw a man fitting his description near Greyhound station a few weeks after he vanished. Considering he left so many personal items behind, I'm wondering if he planned to disappear or could he have been in distress? Also, is there any update on whether the uncashed checks had any connection to his mental health or finances? It's been so many years, but these missing pieces make his case even more puzzling. Would love to hear if anyone has more info or thoughts on this!
