Has anyone else noticed how little media attention Marilyn Denice Waltz's case has gotten over the years? It’s baffling because you’d think with such unique features—like her bright red hair and that cesarean section scar—there’d be more to go on. Plus, she had distinct eyewear and a wedding ring. I'm curious if anyone has come across any old newspaper articles or other sources that might have mentioned anything about her case back in the '70s. Maybe local stories from Bakersfield? It seems like there's very limited information beyond the basics, and I wonder if media coverage could have generated more leads back then. If anyone has any tips on where to dig up old news archives or contacts in the Kern County area, it might be worth looking into. Every little bit helps!
Hey everyone,
I was doing a deep dive into the Marilyn Denice Waltz disappearance, and I noticed something curious about the timing of her vanishing. She went missing in January 1978, and I've read some comments mentioning potential connections to other disappearances in California around that time. It's almost like there was a string of such cases in the late '70s that seem to just fade out with no significant leads. Does anyone know if law enforcement ever looked into any potential links or patterns? I get that it might be easy just to chalk it up to a cold case, but maybe there’s something more there that hasn't been explored? If anyone has insights or can point me to where I can find more info on other similar cases, I'd appreciate it. Maybe connecting the dots could lead to something... Thoughts?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been digging through Marilyn Denice Waltz’s case, and something that’s been puzzling me is the fact that she had a cesarean section scar. I wonder if there were any medical records or a potential maternity connection that investigators might have followed up on during their initial searches. It seems like it could be a significant detail, especially in identifying her if she were to be found or if any medical facilities had records of her. Has anyone come across any reports or mentions relating to that aspect? It might be a long shot, but sometimes it's the little things that can crack a case wide open. Thoughts?
Stay safe,
