I've been researching some of the trials related to John Floyd Thomas Jr., and it's just so unsettling to see how long it took to connect all these horrific crimes. What really strikes me is how the lack of communication between different jurisdictions back in the '70s and '80s might have delayed capturing him. It makes me wonder if lives could have been saved with better technology or coordination between departments. It's absolutely chilling to think about how Leah Leshefsky's murder and those of so many others were left unsolved for years. I hope Leah's family, and the families of all his victims, have found some peace now knowing who was responsible. It’s a painful reminder of the importance of technological advancements in DNA testing and data sharing among law enforcement.
