Hi everyone, I came across something that's haunted me ever since I read about it: the eerie fact about Una Cartwright's case (and others) where the front door was found ajar. It’s an unsettling detail, knowing that in a place you consider safe – your home – someone could force their way in and commit such a heinous act. It should serve as a reminder of how vulnerable people can be, especially the elderly who may not have the ability to defend themselves. I can't help but think of Una's family and the heartache they must have felt, not just from losing her but from the circumstances surrounding her death. It’s infuriating to imagine that for years, their answers were just out of reach until advancements in DNA technology brought about some closure. It makes me think about the power of time and tech in pursuing justice. I genuinely hope that investigators continue this work, for Una's sake and all the others who suffered a similar fate. Thoughts?

Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Una Cartwright and something that really sticks with me is the aftermath of losing such a beloved member of the community in such a violent way. I can only imagine how devastating it must have been for her family and friends to hear about the horrific details back in 1975. I was reading about how John Floyd Thomas Jr. was finally brought to justice in 2009, thanks to advances in DNA technology. It’s chilling to think that if it weren't for these scientific breakthroughs, he might never have been caught. But it also makes me wonder how many other families are still out there, waiting for some kind of closure for their loved ones. The fact that the LAPD's Open-Unsolved Homicide Unit is still on this gives me hope that more answers could come to light in the future. Thinking of Una Cartwright today and everyone else affected by such a senseless tragedy. It's so important to keep discussing these cases to honor her memory and hopefully bring peace to those still waiting for answers.
