Reading about cases like Ramona Gartner's always sends chills down my spine. While it's somewhat of a relief that they identified John Floyd Thomas Jr. as the “Westside Rapist,” it troubles me that he never faced charges for her murder specifically. I really wish there was more closure for her family. I often wonder if there were overlooked details in her case that could have definitively tied him to the crime. With forensic science advancing so much since the '70s, you'd hope something could be done now, especially in terms of DNA evidence. It’s essential not only for justice but also to provide some semblance of peace for the families involved. Anyone else have thoughts on how we might gain more clarity on unsolved cases like this?
