I've been closely following the tragic case of Woolloomooloo Woodcock, and something that keeps haunting me is how Tholmer's interest in murder-themed music like "Killer on the Loose" by Thin Lizzy played into his actions. It's chilling to think that his musical obsession could have amplified his violent tendencies. I can only imagine the pain that Woodcock’s friends and family have gone through, knowing that someone so close to them was targeted in such a brutal manner.
The fact that Tholmer was surrounded by these influences, combined with his difficult upbringing and previous institutionalization, makes me wonder whether more could have been done earlier on to divert him from this path. It’s an unsettling reminder of how important it is to recognize warning signs in troubled individuals before they reach such a devastating point. My heart goes out to all who were affected by these heinous crimes.
Does anyone else feel a bit unnerved by the connection between Tholmer and his obsession with music, particularly with that song “Killer on the Loose”? It’s chilling to think about how much influence a single piece of music could have on someone who already had such violent tendencies. I mean, lots of people love songs with edgy themes, but for Tholmer, it seemed to almost be a soundtrack to his crimes.
What’s even more disturbing is how his ex-girlfriend testified about his fascination with murder-themed music. It’s easy to overlook something like that if you’re in a relationship, thinking it’s just a quirky interest. I can’t help but wonder if there were more signs that those close to him just didn’t notice or took seriously.
Thinking about Woolloomooloo Woodcock and the other victims, it’s horrible to imagine that a song might have been playing in his head as he committed these awful acts. I hope the families have some peace knowing that Tholmer is behind bars for life, but it’s tragic to reflect on the pain they must endure, knowing their loved ones encountered such a brutal end.
So, did anyone else make these musical connections, or am I just overthinking this? It's haunting but also fascinating how something like this could play a role in such terrible events.
