I can't stop thinking about the location aspect of this case. It’s so chilling to me that Cathy Ann Small’s body was discovered right across the street from the home of the man with those disturbing photographs. It makes you wonder what was really going on in that neighborhood. How many people crossed paths with him not knowing the kind of horror that was lurking behind closed doors? I'm also floored by the fact that the authorities didn’t think to cross-check DNA evidence sooner. It's frustrating to know that key pieces could have remained untested for so long. Imagine the anguish Cathy’s family went through without answers. I just hope this brings them some semblance of peace now. It’s a stark reminder of how important it is to reexamine unsolved cases with newer technology. Hopefully, this brings some hope to other cold cases out there. Sending love and strength to Cathy’s family, especially her children who had to grow up without their mom. ?
