I'm really torn up thinking about Jonathan Honey's final moments. Imagine being in a new city, separated from your friends during a bachelor party weekend, and ending up all alone. It's chilling. The thought of how quickly a fun night out can turn tragic makes my heart ache. Austin PD says there was no foul play, but it doesn't make it any less tragic for his friends and family. Those who've been there know how lively the Rainey Street area is—yet, it seems some measures are still needed to prevent these types of incidents. The contributions from the city for increased safety are a step in the right direction, but it goes without saying we need to stay vigilant to prevent further tragedies. My heart goes out to Jonathan's loved ones during this tough time.
