Hey everyone, I've been following the discussions here about the Honolulu Strangler case, and something that really gets to me is how missed connections might have played such a huge role in these tragic events. Regina Sakamoto was just trying to get to school that morning, and missing her bus made her vulnerable to this predator. It’s chilling to think how a simple twist of fate like a missed bus could have led to such a devastating outcome. She had a bright future ahead, with dreams of attending Hawaii Pacific University. I can’t help but think about how her life might’ve been completely different had she made that bus. For me, this highlights how unpredictable and senseless these crimes are. Regina was just a kid with aspirations, looking forward to her next steps in life. Her family must've been shattered, expecting her home that evening only to slowly realize something terrible had happened. My heart goes out to them and all the families affected by this case. It’s a grim reminder to all of us about how quickly life can change and how important it is to cherish every moment we have with our loved ones. I hope we can keep bringing attention to Regina and the other victims, in the hope that one day justice will be served. Stay safe, everyone.
