Hi everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the way Gerald Stano managed to evade capture for so long. It's incredibly unsettling to realize that someone could carry out such horrendous acts over a decade without being caught. Linda Ann Hamilton, along with countless other victims, deserved so much better. I can’t help but wonder if maybe a lack of communication between states hindered the investigation early on. It seems like there weren't enough resources or perhaps not enough awareness about the commonalities in these tragic cases at the time. For those who were living in Florida during the 70s, did you notice any heightened awareness or concern about safety back then? Or did people not realize the extent of Stano’s actions until much later? I'd love to hear from anyone who might have insights into what it was like during those years. My heart goes out to Linda's family and the other families hurt by this man. It’s crucial that we continue talking about these cases to ensure they aren’t forgotten and to prevent history from repeating itself. Stay safe, everyone.
