I’ve been thinking about how strong Salina must have been that night. Can you even imagine the sheer terror she felt, running through the West Texas desert with no clothes, barefoot, after witnessing that horrific attack on her family? The bravery it must have taken to keep going in the dark, not even knowing where she was heading, just desperate to find help. It’s astounding she was able to reach an oil rig and find someone who could call for help. My heart goes out to her for what she endured at such a young age. Her strength and determination truly amazes me. Has anyone heard how she’s been doing in recent years? I hope she's found some peace and healing.
I can’t stop thinking about Salina's incredible courage in all of this. Imagine being just 14 and finding the strength to run through the harsh West Texas desert, barefoot and vulnerable, to find help. It's a miracle she survived that night and managed to reach an oil rig to alert someone. Living through such horror and then having the presence of mind to seek help and safety is just beyond commendable. My heart truly goes out to her. I hope she found the strength and support to carry on despite everything that happened. Salina's bravery is something that should never be forgotten in discussions about this tragic case. Whatever healing she’s achieved, I hope it has brought her some peace.
