I've been reading about Janette Anne Cullins's case, and I can't stop thinking about her roommate, Cheri Phinney. What a terrifying close call for Cheri, knowing she was supposed to move into that apartment soon. It's chilling to imagine how narrowly she escaped becoming another victim. I can't even begin to fathom the level of survivor's guilt she must have felt. If anyone has more details on how Cheri coped or any statements she might've made about Janette, I'd be really interested to hear them. It's got to be tough living with the knowledge of how different things could have been. My heart goes out to her and to Janette's family and friends. This case is another reminder of how quickly life can change due to someone else's horrific actions.
