Hey everyone, Has anyone else read the note Vanessa wrote to her mom before she died? It really hit me hard thinking about what she must have been going through. An 11-year-old feeling unsafe in her own neighborhood and reaching a point where she was asking to leave. It’s such a chilling reminder of how children often perceive danger even if they can’t always articulate it fully. I can’t stop thinking about how much this little girl carried with her. Given how much concern she had, I wonder if there were any prior incidents in the neighborhood that might have triggered her fears. It’s so sad to think that her plea remained unheard until it was too late. The whole situation breaks my heart for her family. They’ve lived with this shadow for so long, hoping for justice and peace that still seems so out of reach. Sending love and strength to anyone who knew her. Vanessa deserved a better world. ?️
