Hi everyone,
I’ve been reading about the tragic case of Barbara Ann Wilcox and Colette Goodenough, and something that really struck me was the way authorities were able to connect their disappearance to Gerard Schaefer years after the fact. It’s unsettling to think about how many lives were lost before pieces of this puzzle even began to come together.
I can’t even begin to imagine what their families went through, waiting for answers that seemed like they would never come. It’s a reminder of how important it is for investigators to revisit cold cases and keep pushing for justice, not just for closure, but to honor the lives of these young women who were taken far too soon.
Does anyone know if there was a particular breakthrough that led to re-examining Schaefer’s connection? It seems like a complex web of evidence, and I wonder if something specific finally made the dots connect. Any thoughts or insights would be great to hear.
Stay safe, everyone.
