Does anyone else find it odd that there haven't been any suspects or arrests in Jesse Olivas' case, even though there were witnesses who described the car involved? A grey, older model sedan shouldn't be too hard to track down, particularly in a specific area like that. It makes me wonder if there were only a few witnesses or if those they did have weren't able to provide enough solid information? It's so frustrating to think about how this has left Jesse’s family searching for answers all these years later. Lydia Lopez’s story about her son giving to the homeless really resonated with me. He seemed like a truly kind soul, and it’s sad that this case hasn't found the resolution or justice he deserves. If anyone's in the area and knows something, please consider reaching out to Silent Witness. Every little bit helps, and we need to stand by the family in moments like these.

It's been over seven years since Jesse Olivas was taken from his family and community, and my heart really goes out to them. What sticks with me the most about this case is the description of Jesse from his family. Here was a young man, only 22, who faced his own challenging journey with mental illness, yet he still found the capacity to care so deeply for others. It's rare to find such selflessness, especially in someone so young. His actions, like giving clothes and shoes to the homeless, serve as a testament to his compassionate spirit. It’s gut-wrenching to think that someone who gave so much to those who needed it most had his life cut short in such a violent manner. For those who knew him, Jesse clearly left a lasting impression. I hope that anyone who might have seen or heard something that night comes forward, even if it seems insignificant. Sometimes the smallest detail can make the biggest difference. His family deserves justice and the peace that comes with knowing the truth. Keeping my fingers crossed that someone out there will speak up and that the Phoenix police will get the leads they need to solve this case. Jesse's story deserves a resolution.
