I've been following the case of John Abono and it's incredibly distressing to think about what his family must have gone through during those long years of not knowing what happened to him. I was reading up on it and one aspect that really stands out is the fact that his case was initially a cold case for so long. Can you imagine the pain his loved ones endured without closure for over a decade? It's remarkable how a string of seemingly unrelated events can suddenly connect when someone like Sapp confesses. The immense patience and dedication of law enforcement in tracking these connections must be commended. It really goes to show that despite time passing, investigators never truly give up. Has anyone else read more about the methods they used to trace these older cases? It must have been quite challenging in the 80s without the technology we have now. My thoughts really go out to all the families affected by Sapp’s actions.
