Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the eyewitness accounts in the case of Cecil Branch. Can you imagine how eerie that must have been? Witnesses reported seeing the Yahweh followers jotting down his license plate after Cecil supposedly pushed the canvassing woman. I mean, documenting something so ordinary as a license plate number took on such a chilling significance after everything unfolded. It's terrifying to think about how this seemingly small interaction became part of a violent chain of events. The idea of taking notes as a precursor to a violent act just doesn’t sit right with me. I feel for those witnesses, too; they have to live with knowing they observed a piece of a puzzle that resulted in such a horrific tragedy. My thoughts are with the Branch family. It’s an awful event to have hanging over them for so long—so sensitive and menacing. Hoping that one day they find some sense of closure.
