Does anyone else find it incredibly frustrating how vulnerable the victims in the Skid Row Stabber case were? Jose Cortez, much like the others, was simply trying to get by in a world that seemed to have cast them aside. It really hits home how danger and desperation can intersect in such tragic ways. The area was teeming with transient individuals who were often overlooked by society, making them easy targets for a predator like Maxwell. I can only imagine the fear and unease that must've gripped Skid Row during those terrifying weeks. It's so important to remember the humanity of each victim and hope that their stories encourage more compassion and justice for those still living on the margins. Does anyone know if there are any memorials or community efforts that honor these individuals? I'd love to support any movements that keep their memories alive.
