Hi everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the aftermath of the Fast Food Murders and how it must have impacted the community, particularly the surviving employees of these establishments. Imagine going back to work, trying to process the loss of coworkers like Steve Hampton and Sarah Jackson. Returning to a place so familiar yet forever altered must have been incredibly challenging. The fear and anxiety of working in a fast-food restaurant at that time had to be overwhelming, knowing that such violence had struck places just like theirs.
The shock waves from these murders extended beyond the victims’ families, affecting many who called these restaurants their second homes. I feel for these employees who had to continue working in this environment, struggle with their own grief, and push through the fear. It's a stark reminder of the many layers of trauma that violent crimes leave behind.
Anyone here with insights into how the local businesses coped during this time?
