There's something that's been bugging me about the Michael Carbonari case – why was he last seen in Tampa, but the investigation also involved authorities in Fort Myers? Was there some significance to Fort Myers, or was it just standard procedure to expand the search area? I can’t help but wonder if there was some connection he had there, maybe a friend or business contact. It’s strange that with so few details released, the investigation still had a broader geographical scope. I know this was over 40 years ago, but even a seemingly small detail might lead to something. Anybody else have thoughts on this angle?
