I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact Cindy's case had on the local community back in the 80s and even now. It’s so haunting to realize how a bright, young girl's life was cut short and how her tragic story unfolded. I can only imagine the sheer determination and heartbreak her family went through during those 20+ years of uncertainty, never giving up hope of finding her. But what I find really unsettling is how Arthur Ream was able to go unnoticed for so long, and the possibility of other victims still out there makes my skin crawl. It's terrifying to think so many people might be walking around with no idea of the danger that lurked nearby. The community's vigilance and support in exposing such predators are crucial. It’s also a reminder for us today about ensuring kids know who to trust and the importance of staying aware, even in familiar surroundings. My thoughts are with all the families affected by this case and others like it. Cindy’s story has left a lasting memory, and it's critical we continue to talk about it and learn from it.
