Did anyone else find it chilling how Dorothea Puente managed to fly under the radar for so long? The fact that so many vulnerable individuals, like Benjamin Fink, fell victim to her before anyone really took notice is just haunting. It's tragic that Benjamin's last hope for stability turned into such a nightmare. I can't stop thinking about how lonely it must have been for him, all the while trusting someone who was just using him for her own gain. It makes you wonder about the other tenants too—what did they suspect? Were they too scared to speak out, or just as blind to her deception? I'm just grateful a parole officer finally raised the alarm, preventing even more people from suffering the same fate. Benjamin may not have had family to stand up for him, but in a way, this forum and discussions like these help make sure he and others aren’t forgotten.
