Hey everyone, as I was going through some old case files, I couldn’t help but think about the courage and resilience of Lula Mae Farley. She was just out there, doing what she could with Herbert to make ends meet on that tragic day. You can’t help but admire their determination and unity, even in the face of such senseless violence. What stands out is the sheer randomness and brutality of the attack on them. It baffles me how someone could be so heartless to target an elderly couple just trying to get by. The fact that it took two decades to finally piece together the truth is both a testament to the advancements in forensic science and a somber reminder of how long justice can be delayed. Herbert and Lula Mae’s story is a stark reminder of the real people and lives behind every crime statistic. I hope they are both resting in peace, and I truly feel for the families and friends who had to endure the long wait for answers. The strength and patience they've shown are really beyond words. Anyone else here have thoughts on how we can better support families during such long investigations?

Has anyone dug into the timeline of Alfredo Prieto's movements during the late 1980s? It seems like there could be more victims that haven’t been officially linked to him yet. The fact that he traveled between California and Virginia and managed to evade capture for so long is chilling. It's heartbreaking to think of all the families still waiting for justice or closure. I'm curious if there were unsolved cases in areas he might have passed through. It's unnerving how someone could leave such a trail of devastation over multiple states. Sadly, it just goes to show how important advancements in forensic science are in bringing some measure of justice, even years later. My thoughts are with the Farley family and all the others affected by Prieto’s actions.
