I've been thinking a lot about Frieda Bayliff's role in this tragedy. It's so unsettling to realize that this all happened during a supposedly joyful time of the year. From what I've gathered, Frieda was well-liked at the bar where she worked, and it just makes you wonder about what kind of danger lurked around her without her even knowing. The fact that they were last seen with someone they knew and seemingly trusted is chilling. It reminds us how crucial it is to be mindful about the company we keep, even if we don't want to suspect the worst of people in our lives. It must be incredibly difficult for the families to have experienced not just one, but two losses intertwined by such horror. Thoughts are with them. Anyone have any extra context on Frieda or her relationship with Marty Priest? Even the smallest details might help us understand the dynamics at play here.

It's been haunting me how Frieda Bayliff was strangled in her own apartment. I can’t imagine the terror and betrayal she must have felt. She was just trying to live her life, working hard at the local bar, and then this. From what I gather, Priest was someone both she and William knew—trusted, even? It's unsettling to think how someone you might casually know can become capable of such heinous acts. It really makes you wonder about the nature of the relationship they all had and how it spiraled into something so tragic. My heart goes out to her family; losing a loved one in such a brutal manner is unimaginable. It makes you appreciate the efforts of investigators and the justice system, even though it's often frustratingly slow and imperfect. Really hoping that, despite the acquittal, Frieda's case will be revisited someday and her family finds some closure.
