Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the impact this case must have had on the local community back in 1966. The terror must've been palpable. It's hard to imagine how it felt to live in Richmond during those six weeks of fear and uncertainty. Looking deeper into Addison Wilkins’ background as a ministry student really struck a chord with me. Here was someone who was potentially on a path to help and uplift others through his faith, only to have his life cut tragically short. It just makes the randomness of it all even more jarring. I've also been wondering about the friends and family of Addison. Losing someone so young and so full of promise must have been devastating. It makes me hope they found some form of healing over the years, although the shadow of such a senseless act undoubtedly lingers. If anyone has more information about how the city’s community or local churches reacted to these events, or any info about initiatives or memorials that might have been established in Addison’s memory, I’d love to hear about it. Remembering the victims is so important. Thanks for reading and sharing any insights you might have.
