I came across Sandra Kay Fry's case again today, and it left me thinking about the overlooked details that must have been so difficult for her family to process. Imagine having that constant worry about safety in your own home, only for something so heinous to happen. Gerald Parker's attacks followed such a chilling pattern that it's terrifying to consider how he managed to evade capture for so long. It's frustrating that back then, the technology wasn't available to catch him sooner. It must’ve been incredibly painful for the families of his victims to await answers all those years. Sandra was so young, with her whole life ahead of her, and it's distressing to think how her and the other victims’ voices went unheard until DNA finally started to piece things together. Here's hoping continued advancements in forensic science can prevent tragedies like this from happening and bring quicker justice in other cases too. My thoughts go out to Sandra's family and everyone affected.
