Has anyone looked into the recent developments regarding Heather Mary Guy's case? While reading through some older threads, I came across a mention that a new detective took on her file a few years ago. Does anyone know whether this led to any fresh insights or avenues being explored? It's just so puzzling how someone can disappear without a trace, especially with rumors that the police might suspect someone but lack evidence. Could this new detective make a difference now that techniques and technologies have advanced so much? Would love to hear if anyone has any inside info or thoughts on this.

I’ve been diving deep into Heather Mary Guy's disappearance case and something that stands out to me is the timeline involving the co-worker who dropped Heather off. Do we know anything more about this person? I mean, dropping someone off at 3 a.m. is quite late. I wonder if the police looked into their whereabouts after Heather was dropped off. Were there any inconsistencies in their story? Also, why the rural Washougal area? Was there any reason she didn’t go straight home or did she usually stay with her grandparents? I'm just trying to piece together her movements that night. Maybe there’s something in the specifics of that drop-off time and place that could offer more clues. Thoughts?
