I've been following the case of Claudine Anne Luera and the other women whose lives were taken in such a senseless and brutal manner, and my heart goes out to their families. Claudine, especially, seemed to have a love for life that must have been so infectious to those around her. One thing that stands out to me is how the community came together after these tragedies. The vigils and memorials for Claudine and the others were such touching tributes. It shows the strength and solidarity of her family and friends, and how even through unbearable pain, people can come together to support one another. It's comforting to know that although justice doesn't bring them back, Ortiz will never harm another person again. It’s important that we remember Claudine not just as a victim, but as a vibrant individual who left a lasting impact on her loved ones. Her family’s courage in facing such an ordeal is truly inspiring, and I hope they find continued strength in one another.
