Has anyone looked into how Paula's case influenced park safety measures in Kansas? I've been thinking about how terrifying it must have been during that time, not just for Paula's family but also for other young people working summer jobs in places like Cedar Bluff State Park. I can't imagine the fear that must have gripped the community after losing someone in such a horrible way. It’s truly commendable how Paula’s family has continued to fight for justice and keep the perpetrator behind bars. It would be interesting to know if this case led to any policy changes or increased safety protocols in state parks. It feels like there must have been a ripple effect in terms of improving safety for young workers.
