Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about what life must have been like for Floyd Leroy Barnett before that tragic day in October 1956. Imagine working as a cannery worker in that era—possibly long, exhausting hours, but likely fulfilling in its own way. The idea that his life was taken so violently and senselessly is incredibly upsetting. Can you picture what his last moments might have been like near the Sacramento River? I often wonder if he saw it coming or if the attack caught him completely off guard. It's haunting to think about. I also want to talk about the fact that Stephen Nash had confessed to so many other crimes but never faced justice for Floyd's death. It makes me wonder how many families out there were left without answers or closure because of insufficient evidence. Even though it's widely believed Nash was responsible, not having that official closure must be incredibly frustrating for Floyd's family and friends. Does anyone know if any other new evidence or leads ever surfaced after Nash’s execution? It's been decades, but the hope for answers must still be there. Hoping for some peace for those who knew Floyd. Stay safe, everyone. ?
