I’ve been reflecting a lot on Vicki Lynn Perkins’ case and just can’t shake the thought of the life she could have had. I mean, is anyone else stuck on the fact she was so young, just 19? It’s hard to imagine what she must have gone through, especially since she was so far from anyone she might have called family. I can’t help but wonder about the time she spent at the homeless shelter and the people she might have interacted with there. Did anyone at the shelter see or hear anything that could be a key piece of information? I keep thinking that maybe someone remembers an unusual detail that could be the missing piece in solving her case. It’s just difficult to wrap my head around how she ended up all the way in Utah. So much of her life seemed transient, especially with the hitchhiking and those treks with truckers, which makes me wish that more could have been done to keep her safe or at least trace her journey. My thoughts really go out to those who knew Vicki, however briefly. Here’s hoping for some closure someday.
