I’ve been reading up on the Golden Years Murders, and it's just so unsettling how Phyllis G. Harris and the others were targeted. What's really gotten under my skin is the distinct difference in how the victims were murdered based on their race. It makes me wonder if the killer had particular motives or if it points to something else entirely we’re missing. It's deeply troubling to think about the fear and anxiety that must've plagued the communities back then, especially for the elderly living alone. I can’t even begin to imagine the anguish of the victims' families who still don't have closure. It's been decades, and the lack of resolution feels like an injustice in itself. It's a chilling reminder of how crucial it is for us to continuously push for answers and justice for all victims, regardless of circumstances.
