I’ve been thinking about all the courage it must have taken for Paula Prince's family and friends to navigate through those horrific days in 1982. A flight attendant, she dedicated her life to the safety of others, only to become an unwitting victim of such a senseless crime. It’s tragic how her routine trip to the drugstore, something we all do without a second thought, had such heartbreaking consequences.
What's really haunting is how close the public was to the same fate, yet there were few answers provided at the time. People went from trusting a simple headache relief to fearing for their lives. For her friends and fellow flight attendants, this must have shaken them to their core, forever altering their sense of security.
And can we take a moment to reflect on the way society responded? It must have been terrifying for everyone involved. There are still so few answers after all these years. I can’t imagine the frustration of knowing that the person responsible has never been caught—was it about revenge, chaos, or something else entirely? Does anyone else have thoughts on why someone would resort to such a cruel act?
